St Minver vs Wadebridge 12/12/09

 Result: 2-2

With both teams not having played competitive football in weeks, this local derby looked to be a hard encounter for both teams. St MInver were the team to take control early with a couple chances before finally after a corner into the box, a penalty was given for handball. Steven Wootton successfully converted the spot kick to put St Minver up 1-0. From then on Wadebridge started to push on creating a string of chances and becoming the dominant team. The equaliser then came from a short cross to the back post which was headed in by Dan Cornford. After the equaliser Wadebridge continued to push the St Minver defence, and then just before half time Dan Cornford stroked one past the keeper after a scramble in the box allowing Wadebridge to go in with the half time lead. After half time it seemed Wadebridge were going to capatilise on more chances to further their lead however sturdy defence from St MInver spoiled many of their chances. St Minver then  started to play again, making some nice chances. Then after a darting run from Greg Spratt a free kick was awarded just outside the box. Jason Northcott stood up to take it and powered it past the keeper to equalise five minutes from full time, which in the end proved to be the final score.

Gorran vs St Minver 19/12/09

Result: 2-4

St Minver were looking for a good win here but an away fixture and bad conditions it looked to be a tricky fixture. It proved to be after a lack luster from St Minver saw them undone at the back by Gorran, who took an early 1-0 lead. St Minver had a slight resurgance and eventually equalised after a break-through by Sam Bartley. Soon after St Minver took a 2-1 lead through a good strike from Sam Bartley again, from just outside the box, which proved to be the score heading into half time. Leading into the second half St Minver looked a step behind the pace and Gorran almost capatlised creating two or three seperate chances. After this spell however St Minver started to come back again and added another to their tally through a true poachers goal in the box by Dan Mountain. Shortly after Dan Mountain again capatilised on a fumbling Gorran goalkeeper after a long stinging free kick from Ben Tucker. Five minutes from time Gorran got their second after a mix up in St Minvers defence, which was how it stayed till the final whistle.

Duchy League Cup - St Minver vs Southgate 16/01/10

Result 3-3

Straight from the kick off, St MInver immediately showed their skill, keeping the ball for good periods of time and consequently scored within the first ten minutes after a cross into the box and Steven Wootton was able to put away the opportunity. However the lead didnt last long after a free kick was given on the edge of Minver's box and the free kick looped over into the back of the net. Southgate's attacking play continued to push but St Minver continued to break them down, and after a bright spell of passing from St Minver, Sam Bartley cracked a shot from outside the box that screamed into the top right corner. However almost immediately after Southgate equalised again, when a free header was put in from a corner kick. St Minver though were insistant on going in, in the lead and did so when Sam Bartley was able to grab his second after a great cross from Matthew Mountain, heading the ball into the bottom corner. The weather had continued to come and go, as the rain tried to make its mind up, however in the second half the conditions only got worse. Both St Minver and Southgate however were still managing to put together some good opportunities, with Chris Andrews, in goal for St Minver keeping them in it with some good saves. However after some good passing, Southgate were able to break free on goal and slide the ball past the keeper after a slight deflection. The game then only continued to get more hampered by the weather, with neither team truly on top, it became a scrappy match. Both teams will now have to look forward to a cup replay at Southgate.

Duchy league Cup St Minver vs Southgate 27/02/10

Result 3-0

St Minver came out of the blocks with a flying start in this round 1 replay, playing the ball around quickly and making good use of their home advantage. The forward pairing for St Minver were causing a lot of trouble for Southgate and it quickly paid dividends with Jamie Wallis tucking away a nice finish in his first start back from injury. Southgate tried to push back and claw themselves back into the game, but were again caught at the back as St Minver pushed forward and got a quick second from Jason Keatley. And as soon as it became two, it quickly became three as Matty Mountain put a pin point pass through the back line of Southgate that Jamie Wallis quickly got onto and dispatched for his second goal of the game. With a 3-0 half time lead, St Minver looked confident to keep pushing. However there were no more goals in the game as the second half was shared in possession with both teams squandering some good opportunites to score more goals, allowing St Minver to progress to the next round of the cup.
